Get to market faster.
We solve distribution and logistics problems for manufacturers and importers of building materials.
We specialize in long materials and items which aren’t easily stored on standard pallets.
Storing. Picking. Packing. Loading. Landing.
Supply the entire Northeast, from Maine to Maryland and beyond, from one location – minimizing duplicated inventory and expensive transfers.
And get your product to market, faster.
To get to market faster, traditional distribution isn’t always the right fit.
You have a great building materials product, but it isn’t (yet) stocked by wholesale distributors and retail dealers in the Northeast. You don’t have endless time and funds to develop and incentivize these networks – or possibly you find yourself shut out because ongoing industry consolidation has given existing producers a lock on distribution.

Nor do you want to place your fate in the hands of salespeople down the supply chain who do not share your focus. Or potentially lose years trying to find the right partners via trial and error.Whatever the reason, you’re taking your destiny into your own hands. You’re advertising online, and deploying your own sales team to spec and sell projects. You may even be operating your own logistics out of HQ, but need to break into the Northeast.
Covering the Northeast from one location.
The Northeast is your top priority for market development. The highest-density, highest-income contiguous territory in the U.S. You need to service this area from as few storage locations as possible, to reduce expensive transfers and coordination problems.
Northeast Hub Logistics is situated to maximize your reach.

Positioned at the “golden triangle” intersection of the major east-west and north-south routes linking New England and the Mid-Atlantic, the entire Northeast with its 30 million households stretching from Maine to Virginia is essentially within a single day’s drive. Moreover, spending power is concentrated close to home. Within a 350 mile radius, households spend $1.4 trillion annually, and there are 3.3 million households with an income over $150,000. Of these, 3 million (and $1.2 trillion of spending) are located within a 250 mile radius.
Building materials aren’t plug-and-play with standard 3PL.
You also need to be able to service job lots, not just reload. And that’s where things get tricky.
Your requirements are different.
What you want is a fully-featured 3rd Party Logistics partner (3PL). But most 3PL’s are focused on carton goods shipped on standard 4x4 pallets. In building materials, many SKUs are at least 6’ and as long as 20’. You might even have different lengths in the same SKU (e.g. lumber). Your handling, storage and shipping requirements are different.
This is where Northeast Hub comes in.
These types of materials are Northeast Hub’s bread and butter. We know how to protect, handle and assemble these materials for safe shipping, and we seamlessly tie in to existing last-mile delivery infrastructure.
You need a logistics partner who knows your unique requirements. Someone who can help you break through the obstacles and get to market faster.
